We understand that matters related to Will creation, Estate planning, and Succession management are extremely sensitive and private. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard the data you share with us while accessing or using planmyestate.in (“Site”) and associated services. By using our Site, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information You Provide

We have implemented strong security and privacy measures to ensure that all information you share with us remains private and secure. While using our Site and services, you may provide us with the following types of Personal Data:

  • User-created Login ID
  • User-created Password

Additionally, if you opt for our offline or personalized services, you may share extra details, such as:

  • Copies of your Will or related estate planning documents
  • Details about beneficiaries, nominees, and legal heirs
  • Other personal and financial information required for customized advisory

This information may be used to provide advice, drafting, execution, attestation, registration, notarization, translation, storage, and custody of your Will and related estate documents as per Indian laws.

2. DIY Will Security Features

If you choose to use our Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Will Writing services, your data is protected with multiple layers of security. You are required to create a unique password during registration, which can be modified at any time. For security reasons, PlanMyEstate does not have access to or store your password.

All information entered into the DIY Will Writing tool is encrypted and remains inaccessible to our employees, technical associates, or third-party service providers unless you expressly authorize access. We do not store the content of your Will once it has been generated or beyond sixty (60) days from the date of payment for the service, whichever occurs earlier. Upon the expiry of this period, all information and data related to your DIY Will are automatically and permanently erased from our systems without prior notification.

As a result, we are unable to retrieve, reproduce, or share any copy of your Will once it has been generated and delivered to your registered email address. Should you require technical support or legal assistance during the process, it will be your sole discretion to decide the extent of information you wish to share with us.

We retain only the minimum personal data necessary to provide services effectively, such as your contact information and registration details, and use it exclusively for limited purposes, including fulfilling requested services, sending administrative communications, notifying you of updates or changes, and sharing important legal or policy information relevant to your account.

3. Use of Information

You retain full control over the personal information you choose to provide. We use the data collected solely to deliver our services, enhance the functionality and experience of the Site, communicate with you regarding your account, and inform you about updates or relevant offers.

We do not disclose your Will details, succession-related information, or any sensitive data to any third party without your explicit written consent. Upon completion or termination of the requested services, all information, documents, and details shared with us are permanently deleted from our systems, except for the basic registration information we are legally required to retain for compliance purposes.

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, marketers, or unauthorized third parties under any circumstances.

4. Policy Agreement and Modifications

By accessing or using planmyestate.in, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, along with our Terms of Use and Disclaimer. We reserve the right to modify, update, or amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal obligations.

Any changes will be published on this page along with the date of the latest update. Non-material changes take effect immediately upon posting, while material changes become effective fifteen (15) days after publication. Unless otherwise specified, the current version of this Privacy Policy applies to all information in our possession.
